American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ACLS Providers will enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This course emphasizes the importance of Basic Life Support to patient survival; integration of effective Basic Life Support with ACLS interventions; importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. The ACLS class includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, part of a team and as team leader.
Medical direction given by Dr. Charles Boothby
Course Length: One Day
You MUST have a current AHA BLS Provider card to attend any of the ACLS classes.
Please allow yourself enough time to study the material.
This is NOT an EKG course. You must be able to recognize the rhythm strips prior to coming to your class. We only spend a small amount of time on recognition of the rhythms.
The ACLS Provider Manual is for use by a single student and provides information needed before, during and after the course. This manual also gives students access to a website containing additional information and reference materials to help them successfully complete the course.
